As you say "It is too bad it can’t all just be done with maps so that it stayed in the theme of the site"

Some kind of server-side mind mapping program perhaps?

The sort of thing MindMeister and Mindomo are producing perhaps, but integrated into client web site

I had initially tried to implement the code using the categories field but had run into some road blocks in setting and comparing the categories due to my beginner VB skills. I think I may have been using a "=" instead of a instr.

We will have to see how the wiki evolves. I'm finding it very easy to rapidly clean up the MindReader documentation and to accumulate resource links that would fill up the blog side-bar eventually. On the otherhand, it is less obvious how this exchange should happen there -- on a blog entry comment string, in the "discussion" tab of the page,...?

It is too bad it can't all just be done with maps so that it stayed in the theme of the site.

Thanks again.

Thanks for your comments, and I'm impressed you've responded so quickly!

I wondered if this had in turn broken the code for V6, as to be honest I hadn't checked that - this was something of a fix for the X5 case - but I've just tested on V6 and all appears well.

Wikis certainly open up lots of possibilities (some of which are for confusion), especially with such a full-featured tool as MediaWiki

Thanks for the comments on MindReader and your wiki contribution. It was great to see someone jumping in and using it.

I implemented your fix to the main code and uploaded the new version, which I guess now obsoletes the wiki page :-).

Feel free to continue to contribute as it is clear you have a bit of experience working with wikis. I'm finding all the dimensions of potential functionality it adds a bit overwelming.
