Migrating a Dynamics365 solution

A bit out of order1 but capturing this week’s work to migrate one of our legacy Dynamics solutions into our new architecture. The solution in question contained only business logic - about half a dozen plugins, and similar numbers of workflow steps and a similar number of workflows (including custom actions), Removing ILMerge Having already moved a few plugins I knew there were some challenges in getting away from the use of ILMerge (one of our goals).

Drafts is a genuinely useful text creation tool for iOS devices. With the Pro version you can extend the tool with custom actions, either from the community, or written yourself (Javascript). Collecting / writing / adapting useful scripts for working with this blog from my phone here. To complete the setup, I recommend the Working Copy git client.

Interesting combination of Flow and cognitive services

Using Flow to process emails is fairly standard stuff - this example extends the idea by using LUIS to parse content and select emails for processing.

Cognitive benefit of hand-written notes

Across three experiments, Mueller and Oppenheimer had students take notes in a classroom setting and then tested students on their memory for factual detail, their conceptual understanding of the material, and their ability to synthesize and generalize the information. Half of the students were instructed to take notes with a laptop, and the other half were instructed to write the notes out by hand. As in other studies, students who used laptops took more notes.
